Sometimes, we splurge. More often than not–once you’re a parent–it’s the kids that benefit from said splurge. If you’re looking for that one amazingly stylish, beautiful dress for say, a birthday party or the annual photo session, we say go big. Go Little Marc Jacobs.
Fortunately, there are plenty of pretty options. We love the adult-pleasing color and patterns–even the cuts are something we’d love if they came in our size. While we’re not suggesting dressing your daughter in solemn adult palettes all the time (play clothes are the place to let them flash those eye-popping colors), there is something to be said for a beautiful portrait dress.
Here’s our advice: If you’re going to go all out, choose a dress. It’ll be a fabulous one-piece option this year, and you’ll probably get another year or two out of it as a tunic. See, you’ve already gotten your money’s worth!
